It was 20-years ago today, Apple introduces iMac

The iMac was introduced in May 1988, by Steve Jobs. And history was made. The iMac became one of the most important computers in modern times. Not only did it signify the return of Steves Jobs at the helm of Apple. The launching of the iMac pushed Apple back into a successful business model, to eventually into the powerhouse company it is today. It was also the first on many fronts. From single handily destroying the boring beige computers and setting a wave of industrial design, to killing off the horrible floppy drive. To introducing the USB to the masses. And built with the internet in mind (still in the infancy of the internet).

It was the romantic time period of computers. All-in-one design, perfect for the home.
